Topline Braids

 

Topline braids are used in thermo topline and edge folding machines where the braid is fed in as the skived edge is turned. The actual size chosen will depend on the final application, but as a general rule, toplines should not use less than a 2 mm wide braid to ensure the stitching passes through the braid for total strength. Narrower widths can be used on other folded edge sections to control upper stretch.
